About

Needles and Pins is in the heart of downtown Hopatcong, between Hudson Maxim Elementary School and the River Styx Bridge, about a quarter mile from Lake Hopatcong.

A long time Hopatcong resident,  owner Lynne St. Angelo learned to sew as a child. In it’s formative years, she ran her budding sewing business out of a spare room of her house.  The business outgrew the space, and thus Needles & Pins opened it’s doors in 1996.

Lynne at Work

In recent years, the shop had expanded from alterations and tailoring to include embroidery and screen printing services. Lynne prides herself on being able to handle any sized job: everything from minor repairs to heavy leather. She is masterful of her craft, with a true understanding of clothing construction, and a flair for creative repairs on quirky items.

St. Angelo Kids

Needles & Pins has always been a family-friendly, happy and welcoming place.

Lynne was a foster mother from 1996 into the early 2000’s, and her customers became well acquainted with her many angels. Lynne now has 4 children, all of whom have grown up in the shop – helping to run the counter, clean, answer phones, and sometimes assist on small repairs.

Come visit the St. Angelo’s at our quaint, family-owned shop. We’d love to meet you!
